September 16th, 2021

You did it. You started a new regiment that includes a healthier diet and regular workouts, and better yet, you’re starting to see results. Here’s the thing. Over time, those workouts are going to start getting easier. And those results? Well, they’re going to slow down…a lot. But why?? You will have hit what we call a “workout plateau”. But don’t worry. You can easily overcome this minor setback, especially with the help of a personal trainer. Read more…

What is a workout plateau?

A workout plateau occurs when your body becomes used to a repetitive workout routine, and therefore, is no longer challenged. Interestingly enough, repetition isn’t the only factor. Overtraining can also lead to a workout plateau. Because the body needs time to repair in between workouts, if you train too much, your muscles will not be able to rest, repair, and build.

Breaking Through a Plateau with a Personal Trainer

At Driven Fit + SWS, we’ve seen hundreds of clients hit personal workout plateaus. The good news? We know how to overcome them. Here’s how we do it…

Let’s Take a Look: Training Program Evaluation

When you first meet with a Driven Fit + SWS personal trainer, he or she will identify any weaknesses in your current training program. From there, your trainer will use his or her expertise to set new goals and restructure your existing program to include challenging new workouts.

You’ve Got This: Motivation + Accountability

When you’ve been exercising by yourself for a while, you can easily become bored and unmotivated. Enter a Driven Fit + SWS personal trainer! By adding a personal trainer to the mix, not only do you have someone in your corner providing much-needed motivation, but you also have someone to keep you accountable.

Set the Pace: Comprehensive Progress Training

Your Driven Fit + SWS trainer will know exactly how much intensity is required to achieve your fitness goals and see results. Throughout your personal training experience, your trainer will adjust your workouts based on progress, i.e., the number of sets, the amount of weight, resting intervals, and the general intensity of your workout.
