Mobility is self-treatment or self guided activity that restores the body’s connective tissue system to combat chronic pain, improve performance, and decrease the accumulated stress caused by repetitive postures and movements of everyday life. Mobility helps maintain the health of our connective tissue, it helps with our mental and physical wellness, and it helps you stay balanced and centered. Mobility helps to restore the body and bring it back to a normal homeostasis. The 3 R’s of mobility: Release, restore and rebalance.
With daily mobility you can extend the benefit of your massages. You can help break up or ward off aches and pains. These techniques help allow your massage therapist to take your sessions further than they may be able too typically in a 60-90 minute session.
Usually upon massage we, the client, have an area of concern. Then the massage therapist finds more areas! With self-treatment mobility we can give ourselves daily alievation of pain and and restore balance. This means more effective massage work!
