As much as we’d like to avoid it, there’s no running away from stress. It’s everywhere, and it affects everyone. Of course, there are different levels of stress – the kind of stress that is manageable or the kind that is more severe and can negatively impact your health and wellness.

Fortunately, there are lots of ways to manage stress. But first, you must be able to recognize the symptoms. Here we offer ways to not only manage your stress and live better:

 

Signs of Stress

Stress is dangerous because it can manifest in many ways, thus causing our mental and physical health to deteriorate from chronic stress patterns. It’s also dangerous because you may fail to notice how stressed out you are until it’s too late!

If you experience any of the following symptoms, there’s a good chance that stress is affecting your daily life, and if you’re not careful, could lead to health issues.

Focus on nutrition.

By making simple changes in what you eat and drink, you can help to reduce your stress levels. Swap your coffee for lower-caffeinated herbal tea, reduce your intake of refined sugars, lower your alcohol consumption, and eat more fruits, vegetables, and healthy proteins.

Exercise.

From improving your quality of sleep to boosting your mood, not to mention the obvious health benefits, exercise truly does a body (and mind) good!

While we love a good workout at Driven Fit, we also believe that any form of exercise is beneficial! Even if you just go on a walk! No matter what, just try to incorporate some type of physical activity into your daily routine.

 

Practice relaxation.
